  • Louis Deletraz puts the #40 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Acura ARX-06 on pole for Sunday's IMSA Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen
  • Sister #10 Acura ARX-06 qualifies seventh in the hands of Ricky Taylor

It will be Acura at the point for the start of Sunday's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen, with Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti's Louis Deletraz qualifying on pole in the #40 Acura ARX-06.

Deletraz's time of 1:32.209 put him just 0.038 of a second ahead of second place, but it was enough to clinch the pole position for himself and co-driver Jordan Taylor.

Deletraz and Taylor's WTRAndretti teammates Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque will be starting seventh for the six-hour race. The duo are coming off a victory on the tight and twisty streets of Detroit, their first in the electrified ARX-06 and of the new IMSA GTP era.

In the production-based GTD category, Sheena Monk, Stevan McAleer and Tatiana Calderón will be rolling off in the seventeenth position in the Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo22.

Louis Deletraz (#40 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Acura ARX-06) Pole qualifier for the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen: "The car feels great! Our Acura is fast for sure. I really enjoy this qualifying, and to be on pole here is fantastic, but it means nothing for the race. For sure, we have some weather incoming [for Sunday] and it will make our race very interesting. Last year, we were very fast, but didn't get the result that we hoped. Acura has a lot of history here, and I'm hoping we can add to it. They were huge in helping us rebuild after Detroit. We never give up, I'm grateful to be surrounded by HRC and Acura and WTRAndretti. So, yes, the pole is great. But, the points are on Sunday—mostly—and I'm hoping we can take the big one home tomorrow!"

Ricky Taylor (#10 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Acura ARX-06) qualified seventh: "I am disappointed with the qualifying. Really nice for the #40 car and for Acura to get the pole. Louis did a great job. I am scratching my head a little bit about where the pace was. We know what the car felt like and we can compare it to our teammate and learn a lot for tomorrow. Long race – six hours – you can win from anywhere. It is never nice to qualify in the back but nice to start a race when you can work your way to the front."
