American Honda Rides Record Hybrid Sales and Affordable Sedans to Strong July

• American Honda (AHM) July sales climbed 12.8% to 136,549 units, its best July since 2019. Sales were powered by a balanced lineup of affordable passenger cars and SUVs.
• Honda brand July sales totaled 124,553 (+12.3%), with strong sales of passenger cars (+35.7%) and record hybrid sales.
• Acura brand was up 18.9% in July on sales of 11,996 units, an increase of 4.1% year to date, led by gateway models and SUVs.

Sales Highlights

• In July, Honda increases were powered by record sales of hybrid models (36,609 units) and big gains from passenger cars (+35.7%).
  • Record hybrid sales of 36,609 include CR-V: 54% of sales mix, Accord: 41% of sales mix, and Civic: 32% of model mix.
  • CR-V remains the #1 SUV in America in 2026, posting record July sales (+18.8%).
  • Passport logged a record July with sales totaling 5,641 (+18.5%), TrailSport trims accounting for over 80% of sales.
  • Honda passenger car sales jumped 35.7% in July (43,604 units) marking the best July for Civic since 2021 (22,995 units), Accord July sales topping 20,000 units for the first time since 2019, and Prelude over its sales goal with 354 units.
  • Strong contributions from HR-V with 13,539 units (+15.6%) and Pilot with 10,125 units (+2.2%), in addition to Passport (+18.5%), CR-V (+18.8%) yielded total Light Truck sales of 80,949 (+2.7%).

Sales Highlights

• Acura increased 18.9% in July on sales of 11,996 and up 4.1% YTD, driven by both strong customer retention and conquest sales, for its best July since 2023.
• Acura SUV sales (9,618 units) were led by the flagship Acura MDX, up 60.8%, and posting its best month since Dec. 2024.
• Gateway models ADX and Integra combined for sales of over 5,300 units in July.
  • ADX, the brand’s premium gateway crossover, sold nearly 3,000 units in July (+28.3%), reaching 19,495 units year-to-date. ADX continues to lead its segment with around 30% of retail share.
  • Integra maintained strong sales momentum with 2,370 units (+68.8%) in July and up 45.3% year-to-date, with a significant lead in retail sales.
