IntelliChoice Names Acura 3.5 RL and 3.2 CL 'Best Overall Values of the Year'

IntelliChoice has named the Acura 3.5 RL luxury sedan and 3.2 CL coupe as "Best Overall Values of the Year" in the luxury and near luxury categories. The announcement was made today at the Chicago Auto Show.

IntelliChoice is a leading independent automotive information company and the largest publisher of consumer automobile reports in the United States. IntelliChoice created the awards to help shoppers determine which cars and trucks offer the best combination of reliability, safety, price and cost.

Calculations for depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel and maintenance costs, state fees and repairs over a five-year period are examined. IntelliChoice evaluated more than 2,400 1997-1999 cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles in making its selections.

"The IntelliChoice awards highlight a common attribute of all Acura products -- a full complement of standard luxury features that deliver best-in-class value while providing luxury and style," said Dick Colliver, Acura's executive vice president. "It's rewarding to see Acura continue to be recognized as one of the premier luxury brands."

The 2001 3.5 RL, flagship of the Acura family of performance luxury cars, is one of the most technologically advanced and luxurious cars on the market. The powerful and sporty 2001 Acura 3.2 CL coupe offers superb responsiveness and agility, matched with world-class levels of luxury and sophistication.

Acura offers a full line of premium performance vehicles through a nationwide network of nearly 260 dealers. The Acura line-up features six distinctive models including the exotic NSX supercar, the 3.5 RL flagship luxury sedan, the best-selling 3.2 TL luxury performance sedan, the 3.2 CL luxury performance coupe, the fun-to-drive Integra, and the revolutionary MDX luxury sport utility vehicle.
