  • Honda of America Mfg. starts motorcycle production in Marysville, Ohio.
  • Honda introduces the 4-door Accord sedan.

  • Civic CVCC ranks first in the first-ever fuel economy ranking by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
