Acura Earns Top Honors in Edmunds.com 2014 Best Retained Value® Awards for Third Consecutive Year

For the third consecutive year, Acura leads all other luxury brands in the Edmunds.com Best Retained Value® Brand Awards, with the highest projected residual value after five years1.

The 2014 Acura ILX also received a Best Retained Value® Award. Featuring sporty styling, a luxurious interior and outstanding performance, the ILX has the highest projected residual value five years after launch2 of any eligible luxury compact sedan according to Edmunds.com. The ILX is the gateway model to Acura, bringing younger customers to the Acura Brand.
Acura light trucks continued their record-setting pace in May, combining to achieve the best May sales in division history. The MDX also posted its best May ever, topping sales of 5,900 for the month. MDX sales are up 115.6 percent for the year. After posting 24 consecutive months of record sales, the RDX 5-passenger SUV netted May sales of 4,299 and is 3.8 percent for the year.
The award-winning Acura lineup will be further strengthened later this year with the launch of the all-new 2015 TLX sedan, delivering higher levels of luxury refinement and sports-sedan athleticism enhanced by next-generation Acura powertrains and dynamic-handling technologies. The TLX will offer two advanced new powertrains: a 2.4-liter 16-valve, direct-injected i-VTEC® 4-cylinder engine mated to an all-new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with torque converter; and a 3.5-liter 24-valve direct-injected i-VTEC V-6 mated to a new 9-speed automatic transmission. Two-wheel-drive models, available with either the 2.4- or 3.5-liter powerplants, will utilize the next-generation of Acura Precision All-Wheel Steer™ (P-AWS™) technology with independent left and right rear-wheel toe angle control. The TLX SH-AWD™, available exclusively with the 3.5-liter powerplant, will employ a next-generation light weight Super-Handling All Wheel Drive™ system with new torque-vectoring control logic.
Acura offers a full line of technologically advanced performance-luxury vehicles through a network of 275 U.S. Acura dealers. The Acura lineup features five distinctive models including the RLX luxury flagship sedan, the TLX performance luxury sedan (arriving later this year), the ILX compact luxury sedan, the 5-passenger RDX luxury crossover SUV, and the 7-passenger MDX luxury sport utility vehicle.
