Honda Rearview Report: November 16 - November 22, 2013

"The Green Car of the Year award is a real capstone to the rollout of the 2014 Accord lineup. Each vehicle features an Earth Dreams Technology powertrain, including new engines, transmissions and our innovative two-motor hybrid system. So, no matter what Accord our customers choose to buy, it's the greenest car in America!

We were excited to introduce the Honda FCEV Concept at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, which hints at the next-generation Honda fuel cell vehicle that we will introduce just two years from now.

But a note to car shoppers everywhere … there's no need to wait two years for one of Honda's advanced technology vehicles. Led by the 50 miles per gallon Accord Hybrid, the entire 2014 Accord lineup embodies the promise of the Honda brand to deliver both fun-to-drive enjoyment and outstanding fuel economy at a high level.

And Honda now has won two Green Car of the Year awards in the last three years. That's a record no other automaker can match. And I promise you it won't be our last!"

- Michael Accavitti, senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
