Honda Rearview Report: November 2 - November 8, 2013

"No other race engine manufacturer has matched the success on the track of Honda Performance Development (HPD), with 204 race wins including powering Scott Dixon to this year's IndyCar drivers' championship.

Now, Honda has committed itself to establishing HPD as our new street performance brand, with HPD street performance parts available for the Honda CR-Z at our dealers nationwide, including a HPD 18-inch alloy wheel, front lip and rear decklid spoilers, a sport-tuned exhaust and rear diffuser kit, and front brake and front sport suspension modifications.

More is coming in the spring when, for the first time in our history, we will offer a forced-induction supercharger as a street performance accessory that will boost the CR-Z's peak output by nearly 70 horsepower.

This is just a first step for the HPD street performance parts program. In this 20th anniversary year for HPD, we're expecting more great things as they continue their work – both on the racetrack and on the street. "

- John Mendel, Executive Vice President, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
