Honda Rearview Report: October 19 - October 25, 2013

"In addition to its position as the top-selling compact car in America in 2012 and so far in 2013, it was Civic that helped spark the import tuner market and remains a popular platform for tuners and aftermarket suppliers to express their passion for performance.

In the coming days and weeks we will be rolling out details on the 2014 Civic at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, including some exciting new advancements to the Civic lineup, starting with the Civic Coupe and Civic Si Coupe and Si Sedan. For this 2013 model year, we introduced a major freshening of Civic with new styling, improved ride and handling and a first-ever IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating for a compact-class vehicle. Now, to remain ahead of a fast-changing market, we will continue to advance the eighth-generation Civic with some significant upgrades that will make it even more fun-to-drive."

- John Mendel, executive vice president of sales at American Honda
